Oakdale
Welcome to Oakdale! If you are searching for homes for sale in Oakdale, MN or are curious about the Oakdale Real Estate, the Smith Team is here to help. Oakdale offers many housing options from townhomes to single family homes, new builds or established neighborhoods with mature trees.
The City of Oakdale was named from a grove of oak trees near the original town site. Oakdale Township was organized in 1858. The city of Oakdale today is the result of a consolidation of Oakdale and Northdale Townships in the 1970s, and continued to annex land well into the 1990s.
With a population of 27,378, this Washington county city is just outside of both St. Paul, and takes pride in its well planned residential and commercial areas.
We’d also like to point out some of the great parks and nature areas in Oakdale, and highlight the Oakdale Nature Preserve.
The nature preserve is a 220 acre passive outdoor recreation area surrounding the Discovery Center, with plenty of parks, trails, picnic areas and a forest garden to keep you busy all summer long!
Residents will attend the North St. Paul–Maplewood–Oakdale school district with the choice of either public or private schools.
For more information on becoming a new resident, the city has been gracious enough to provide the public with a home rehabilitation guide for any future projects!
